    Meet the faculty, past and present, of the Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp!

    Ken & Zack Lawrence

    Ken and Zack have been working together in the video industry as a father-son team since 2004. Their first production was a Christian children’s show called The Pastor’s House that was released on DVD. They have also produced a television show about real estate that aired in the Los Angeles market. Their productions include The Pastor’s House, Welcome Home Antelope Valley, Father-Child Projects, The Courtship Formula documentary, and many short films. Ken is a pastor, public speaker, author and Christian film producer.  Zack is the owner of Standing Sun Productions and has a long list of credits including producer, director, actor, and various crew credits.

    Rich Swingle (Acting Camp)

    Rich Swingle has performed on five continents, 28 nations and in hundreds of venues with his one-man plays, workshops, and for film, TV and radio. Rich studied screenwriting with Jerome Coopersmith (over 100 episodes for all major networks). For the Beginners Bible video series, distributed by Sony Wonder, he did 20 roles including Jesus, Adam, and the Serpent. He has performed voice-overs and on-screen roles in several commercials and nine movies. He has performed and/or taught workshops in over 40 colleges or universities, including Namseoul University, Korea, Memphis University, and Princeton. Rich also spoke at the Ivy League Congress on Faith and Action, hosted by the Harvard University chapter of Christian Union. He has appeared in 17 films. Recent Christian feature film credits include In His Steps, Beyond the Mask, and a lead in Providence, which will open in select AMC Theatres nationwide starting February 12.

    Norton Rodriguez

    Norton Rodriguez, Producer/Director/DP

    Norton taught at the Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp from 2009 to 2012.  He has over 27 years of film and television production experience. He is a veteran Film and TV producer, director, and director of photography in the film and television industry / ministry in South Florida. He is a winner of three Emmy Awards from National Association of Television Arts and Sciences in production, editing and animation. Norton has worked for TV Networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Univision, Telemundo, MGM Latin America, Gospel Music Channel, TBN, and many others.

    John Doryk

    John Doryk, Composer and Sound Designer

    John Doryk taught our 2007 Audio Camp and 2009 Composer’s Camp.  John is an award winning television/film composer and sound designer, who has been creating original music and sound design for over 25 years.   He has had his work aired on The Discovery Channel, History Channel, PBS, NBC, BBC, ABC Nightline, FOX Network,  A&E Biography, and for Focus on the Family(Adventures in Odyssey/Radio Theater), Answers in Genesis Creation Museum, Compassion Intl, and many independent feature films. Recently, he was supervising sound editor/sound designer on Stone Table Films latest feature film “Badge of Faith” as well as the feature film “Confessions of a Prodigal Son” starring Kevin Sorbo (currently featured on Netflix) and dialogue editor on Burns Studio “Beyond The Mask” starring John Rhys Davies   He currently resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife and two children.

    David Rasmussen

    David Rasmussen, DP/Cinematographer

    David Rasmussen was the instructor for the inaugural Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp in February of 2007.  He has nearly 25 years experience as a cinematographer and Director of Photography specializing in documentary films.  He is well-traveled, having visited over 40 countries. He has filmed in 20 countries around the world, garnering a list of credits that include the BBC, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Travel Channel, NOVA/ BBC Horizon, National Geographic Television, ABC and numerous independent production companies.
